The Homeless World Cup is an annual, international football tournament, uniting teams of people, among them the homeless, asylum seekers, former alcoholics and drug addicts. Kick-Off is a documentary that follows the Austrian team as they prepare physically and mentally for the tournament in Melbourne Australia in 2008. The film tells the stories of these determined individuals as they regain feelings they lost a long time ago: respect, pride, self-confidence and a renewed zest for life.

The director Friedrich Monroe has trouble with finishing a silent black and white movie about the Portugese capital, Lisbon. He calls his friend, the sound engineer Phillip Winter, for help. As Winter arrives in Lisbon weeks later, Monroe has disappeared but has left the unfinished film behind. Winter decides to stay because he is fascinated by the city and the Portuguese singer Teresa, and he starts to record the sound for the film. At the same time Monroe cruises through the city with a camcorder and tries to catch unseen pictures. Later they meet and Winter convinces Monroe to finish the film.

It is 1912. In a small town's parish school run by priests, the pupils are overcome by a strangely overwhelming rowdiness, leading them to come up with outrageous pranks. The school welcomes a new teacher, Father Weigl, who is aghast at his colleagues' liberal approach to the excessively bad behaviour of the teenage pupils. Father Zoltán, the former master, pays less and less attention to the events taking place all around him. His younger brother, deafened in a boxing match, was on his way to Boston for surgery at Father Zoltan's urging. The brother was aboard the Titanic, which collided with an iceberg. The official report on the injured and casualties is yet to be released.

The Heretic is a story of the life of Cecco d'Ascoli, who lived between the end of the 1200s and the beginning of the following century. A man of science, teacher of medicine at the Bologna University, he was forced to stop teaching in 1325 after he held lectures on the ‘commento alla Sfera del Sacrobosco'. Accused of heresy by the Inquisition, he was condemned to death in 1327.

14 year old Hajo has always dreamed of life on the high seas. Horatiu, an 8-year-old boy who still believes in Santa, is taken by his mother to the shopping mall as a Christmas gift. A day that should have been nothing more than ordinary turns into a boisterous adventure when Horatiu gets lost. He meets Ion, a small-time crook disguised as Santa Claus, who is rude and doesn’t really like children; however, Horatiu has no doubt that Ion is the real Santa and follows him around, causing all sorts of trouble, both amusing and dangerous. Four boys start neglecting school to meet in a hidden location and play poker. As time goes by, their poker game becomes more serious, while at the same time bringing them closer as friends. Ángela is a film student at Madrid University's Complutense. Searching for research material for her thesis on audio-visual violence, she befriends Chema, a fellow student and introvert with an encyclopaedic collection of violent and pornographic films.
